Good Morning Aviators!
This is your Captain speaking.
Welcome to KiloPapaFox, where everything revolves around aviation. In this shop, I offer exclusive, handcrafted one-of-a-kind pieces created with 3D printing — each of them inspired by the world of flight.
If you’d like to know more about me, here’s a quick overview: I grew up with movies like Top Gun, Iron Eagle, The Right Stuff, and Flight of the Intruder. My military service took place on an Air Force base here in Austria. Over time, my graphic design skills led me to create special liveries for military aircraft, as well as squadron badges, patches, and more. I’ve also produced technical profile illustrations for book publications, magazines and flying squadrons. With KiloPapaFox, I’ve created an alter ego — an aviation avatar that lets me dive even deeper into the world of flying.
FAQs
Who is KiloPapaFox
KiloPapaFox is an avatar — an alter ego of mine, Gerhard KEMPF.
As a graphic designer, I’ve spent my entire life working on projects related to both civil and military aviation. With KiloPapaFox, I created my own character to express my passion for aviation — especially for the world of military jet flying.
What does KiloPapaFox stand for?
It is made up of three words from the NATO phonetic alphabet:
Kilo = K
Papa = P
Fox = F
So it simply stands for “KemPF” — initials of my surname, or a personal callsign derived from it. Many people in aviation use the NATO alphabet to create cool-sounding radio names or callsigns. KiloPapaFox has that authentic pilot-radio vibe.
What makes KiloPapaFox products unique?
Every piece is designed and handcrafted by me with a strong passion for aviation. All items are produced as single, exclusive originals using high-quality 3D printing and detailed finishing. No mass production — just authentic aviation art with character. Made in Austria!
Why jet aviation?
Aviation has shaped my life from day one — from classic flight movies to my service on an Austrian Air Force base. Military jets in particular have always inspired me with their design, power, and precision. KiloPapaFox is my way of bringing that fascination to life for others who share the same passion.
Still working on aviation design projects?
YES — aviation design has been a constant throughout my entire career. I continue to work on aviation-related projects, and over the years I’ve created numerous designs and illustrations for clients in both civil and military aviation.
